We are looking for a Client Partner / Director of Business Development to work for our client.

Position Summary:

Our client seeks a Client Partner / Director of Business Development. The role requires building / growing a portfolio of Target Client Accounts. Our Offerings span our client’s three strategic businesses – Clinical, Regulatory and PV (Safety).
The role requires the creation of effective Account Plans to maximize penetration at Target Clients. The successful candidate serves the primary customer relationship executive and strategic business partner to the client.

In Europe and the UK, the position reports to the European Head of Sales (who, in turn, reports to the Global Head of Sales).


• Attain and maintain in-depth knowledge of all our client’s Life Sciences offerings initiating appropriate cross-sell opportunities
• Actively prospect and leverage potential new business opportunities within specified potential new and/or existing Target Clients
• Drive sales in target accounts across the Clinical, Regulatory, and Safety verticals. Leverage all three LOBs and internal capabilities effectively
• Establish and execute a comprehensive Account Plan for each target account.
• Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at the client and develop and leverage your deep knowledge of our client to enable the client to meet their goals
• Actively network with the industry to establish relationships and to identify potential opportunities
• Aggressively pursue awareness of competitive activities, positioning, and pricing.
• Drive negotiation of deals
• Continuously monitor of leads and opportunities to ensure a healthy pipeline of opportunities is maintained across all stages of progressionstatus
• Utilize CRM software – Microsoft Dynamics
• Effectively communicate verbally and through presentations, giving clear and compelling messages
• Assist other sales resources as required
• The required Account Plans develop granular plans achieving both annual & long-term revenue and pipeline targets; clearly outlining all milestones, providing timely updates on progress across each; frequently update the plan in line with any/all change in requirements
• Meet key performance indicators for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives
• Manage relationships and represent the delivery functions during all phases
• Effectively represent important contract elements throughout the sales and contract negotiation processes
• Engage frequently with senior stakeholders, quickly and competently resolve problems by tackling root causes taking necessary steps to prevent future problems
• Experience in working with global operational teams and the global delivery model across time zones/geographies

Minimum Required Education and Experience

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 8 years’ experience
• Experience in selling Clinical services is a must
• MBA/MS preferred
• Proven track record of developing mid-level and high-level sales accomplishment
• Deep experience selling Clinical Phase Trials/ Pre-Clinical Trials
• Strategic business awareness and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently
• Attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities
• Ability to maintain aggressive timelines
• Experience with a high-performance business development teams and behaviors
• Notable relationships with decision-makers in large and mid-sized pharmaceutical companies (e.g., Head of ClinOps, Head of Regulatory, Head of R&D)
• Proven track record of ability to elevate relationships to the CxO level
• Advanced studies in field a plusmedical-related
• Relevant Clinical Research Outsourcing experience required
• Requires up to 75% of travel


Base salary + = 75% of base as incentive = On Target Earnings(OTE)
